Lemons this morning at 5 AM, Lemonade at 10 AM . We woke up to a parking lot you could not walk across, a driveway the groomers could not drive up, roads the team could hardly drive in on! I wanted to put up the closed sign and go back to bed. We rallied and groomed the trails with several attempts, we removed the ice mat on the driveway and sanded the parking area and the county sanded the roads by 10 AM . We had a great day of skiing…lots of happy skiers!
We have a full crew of 8 coming in at 8 AM (late start since the snow is forecast at 8 AM) to groom and 2 more to remove snow. I think you will find the best skiing at 10:30-11 AM. 9 AM opening may be thin snow over hard base. We plan to groom during the day until 3 PM to keep up with the snow.
