The new 10-12 inches of snow groomed up (rolled out) quite well. We rolled 26.5 km for skating and 40 km for striding. I can not remember an opening day with the condiitons being so good. Even Sulos Loop was skiing well. The heavy dense snow over frozen ground made for a nice base. Skiers were happy with condiitons today. We hope to roll in some classic tracks in the next day or so.
