A great day of snowfall, grooming and skiing. Today was a matter of timing. Groomers (2 Pisten Bullies and 2 snowmobiles with groomers) showed up at 5:45 AM and we groomed until 10 AM. We covered 81 km of trail today with 2-4 inches of snow on them. Tomorrow we are delaying the grooming till 7 AM because of cold temps, trails will be open at 9 along with Ski Shop for ski tickets.

We plan to groom Ridge Runner for classic only “best line” either Thursday AM or Friday AM depending on weather. If Ridge Runner is groomed with a classic track it is very IMPORTANT for skaters to not ski Ridge Runner or Ridge Runner access will go away, Ridge Runner on the Windy Ridge Nature Preserve has been ben a great partnership for ABR and the skiers of ABR.

We plan to keep Ridge Runner “Classic only” for 4-6 days.

The snow started coming down about 8 AM …I groomed 3 km with the PB and relooked at the forecast and was back at the barn. We picked up about 4-5 inches during the day. groomers will be back out in the early AM. Skiers enjoyed skiing the powder in today, glide was good.

What a great day of skiing, fresh grooming on 90 km of trails at 9 AM, both Bullies and wide track were out early AM setting some nice tracks and cordoroy. 23 degrees and fires in all 3 trailside warming cabins thanks to Nordic Fox Dave! Looks like the groom crew can sleep in the AM and looks like we will get an inch or so during the day.

Pig Heart and Crasher headed out early this morning with both Pisten Bullies. Wide Track had the classic only covered with the Expedition SE and 60 inch Ginzu. Trails turned out really well, we groomed 81 km this morning. Groomers back out in the early AM new snow falling again tonight.

A great day of skiing today, slow starting with colder temps but at 11 AM it was warm with sunshine and great snow conditions! 3 Groomers out early in the AM.

Here is an accomplishment I am very proud of. Our non-profit Anderson Bluffs & River Trails Foundation published our first newsletter this week. This is ABR’s legacy for the next 100 years – your kids and grandkids can continue enjoying Nordic skiing through this Foundation ( 501(c)3).
