Saturday 6:30 PM

We groomed about 42 km this morning and I am just heading out in the Pisten Bully groomer since the trail is freezing down. We had good spring skiing today. Tonight is expected to freeze so it will be fast skiing at 9 AM and slower skiing towards noon.

We are having our Spring Party Sunday March 15th starting at 4 PM with the grill on at 5 PM. We are supplying burgers and buns and condiments, bring a dish to pass and BYOB.

Not sure yet on skiing Monday TBD on Sunday.

Friday 5 PM

photoLots of grooming and skiing today, even with warm temps. We regroomed 60 km of trails and reset all classic tracks this morning. All trails were well covered and groomed up well. It is spring skiing conditions and we did see many skiers with shorts and topless. We will be regrooming Saturday and Sunday.

Thursday 10 PM

The trails skied well again today, we had about 45 skiers out today and  68 second grade students enjoying the snow and passing their ski tests after 6 days of skiing. We Pisten Bully powertilled about 25-30 km of trail this morning.

I just came in from grooming about 10 km of trail including tracksetting. The trails are holding up fine to the temps and we will be back out in the early AM regrooming for Friday.

I expect we will have excellent “Spring skiing” conditions thru Sunday based on the snow  have and many years of grooming this trail system in March. I am not sure what next week brings for ski conditions. We have a very thick base and daily groomings to compact the snow for preservation in spring conditions. We do not stay open in the spring if we feel we have unsafe conditions or bare spots.

Wednesday 9 PM

Just coming from Clydesdales night. We had a nice ski tonight with the team….and good snacks too. The Trails are holding up very well. It was nice skiing in the late afternoon and it was great skiing in the morning at 9 AM. We are grooming nightly and again in the morning. So make sure you stop in the cabin and see what is groomed and when.

Tuesday 10 PM

Just coming in from grooming with the PB. I groomed up about 15k and it turned out real nice. The temps were dropping and the trail will set up well.

We will be back out in the AM to regroom another 10-20 k of trail depending on temps.

Our grooming schedule for spring skiing  is to groom some trails for 9 AM skiing and some for afternoon skiing. make sure you check with the attendant on duty to see what the trail grooming and skiing condions are.
