With the new snow an inch a day it has been adding up. We re-groomed every inch of the trails today and reset tracks. At quitting time I realized I forgot the Dog Trails so I took the PB back out and regroomed the main Dog Trails. Skiing was great today as it warmed up and the sun came out and wind stopped. Lodging available for the weekend.
Wednesday 8 PM
We had another chilly day, with a bit of new snow. We groomed a bit of skate lanes and opened up Bear Bait, Wolf Tracks and Sun Rise. We also took the PB out on the Dog Trails to test the base and it seems OK to run the PB. We are now 100% open with very good skiing on 95 % of the 73 km.
Tuesday night 10 PM
No new snow today, we picked up just an inch or less last night so we regroomed the South trails and retracked out to Windy Ridge. Skate lanes were touched up on the main trails but the new tracks from yesterday were looking good. We are skiing on about 63 km of trails with our best skis …we shoud be skiing on the other 10 km after the cold spell. Lodging is open in Rustic and Semi Rustic Cabins and houses for the weekend and pre Christmas period.
Monday night 8 PM
We received about another 4 inches last night and the groomers were out in force this morning and all, day getting the last of the trails opened up and buffing out the 55 km that is already skiing well.
We will put the top coat on the Highlands and the new Saari Loop and Ridge Runner and Otter Slide in the AM …and by the looks of it we will be re grooming most of the trails we re-groomed this AM.
It is snowing again hard from the W-NW. We have “Lodging” in both Trailside houses and many cabins this weekend.
Sunday 6 PM
Fischer was at Demo Days today and we had another very good day of skiing and many happy skiers! The new 2-3 inches of snow groomed into the base and leveled things out. We groomed from 5 AM – 2 PM with the new snow falling. Tracks were reset on 35 km of trails and 40 km of skate trails were groomed multiple times to keep the new snow knocked down. We are skiing about 55 km of trails now and groomed all 73 km. Groomers and plow trucks will be back out in the early AM.
