Tuesday 9:30 PM

PAST: The trails skied well today, it was just a matter of timing. I “Pisten Bullied”  some trails last night and some again this morning so skiers had some soft trails this morning and some firm this afternoon.
CURRENT: Tonights grooming was grooming with the Pisten Bully powertilling and tracksetting after temps cooled.  I groomed Blueberry Bluffs, Bards Bump, Meadow Ridge, and River Trail, Popple Flats a portion of Peltonen, Pit Point, Memory lane to the The River House, Jack Pine to the single track,  Bachelors Loop, (Sulos got flooded today about noon) . (the best skiing Wednesday is after 11 AM)  but I may regroom at 4 PM if needed for the last Clydesdales Night Wednesday.

FORECAST: It looks like the temps will cooperate for the next few days. It looks like we will make it with good spring skiing thru the weekend.

OBSERVED: with the sun high and the Montreal River high it is very fun to be out and skiing along the River at this time of year.

Monday 8 PM

photoJust coming in from grooming with Angela tonight. The trails are holding up well. A few thin areas in the low areas but they should freeze up well. We groomed about 10 k tonight and the temp is 33 F. The the trail is freezing up. The best skiing on Tuesday should be on the groomed sections from tonight and I am giessing they should soften and be nice by 10-11 AM. Do not rush out for 9 AM skiing …it may be icy. Make sure to check trail conditions before skiing.

Sunday 8 PM

We survived todays warmer temps with some pretty awesome spring skiing. Since it froze last night the groomed trails skiied well for most of the day and were firm. The best skiing was from 9-noon. We will be open daily until the snow goes, it is unsafe to ski or March 29th. Daily reports on our website will be accurate and honest.

We really enjoyed the Spring Party tonight and had some great food and company.

Saturday 11 PM

Just coming in from the night grooming cycle in the PB. The trails are freezing down quite well. The River is still not over the banks and the trail is solid. I groomed all of the skating classic trails tonight except Peltonen PAss Out and Sulos. It looks like if we get through Sunday that we will have skiing for another week. Skaters will have a great ski in the AM Sunday! Fresh firm cordoroy. Classic skiers will have good tracks later in the AM as it softens.
