Closed for the Season

We closed for the season tonight at 5 PM after 106 days of skiing and 164 inches of snow. We skied from Thanksgiving thru Easter with a few days of down time. Thank you for your support with day tickets, season passes and ski shop business. Have a nice summer and we look forward to seeing you next fall! Eric and Angela

Back to skiing

The rain stopped about 10:30 and we had about 40 skiers out today. Conditions were quite good for the temps of 39 and after a few hours of rain. The thick snow base absorbed the rain and the trail stayed firm and not icy because of the temps. I am headed out tonight to regroo again with the PB and we will be out in the AM regrooming. I am expecting some pretty good spring skiing for Sunday….our last day of the season.

Rain

After 2 months of snow and nice temps it was hard to get up to rain this morning. 35 and rain. We are open for skiing and we groomed some of the trails last night but it does not look like it will be good skiing. If it changes I will update later or you can call.

Another nice day of Spring Skiing

Our last skiers of the day enjoying the spring skiing

We had a nice day of spring skiing agin today. Even the temps are up to the hi 30’s and today 47, the skiing is firm and fun. With the Pisten bully we are able to provide a nice skiable surface for spring skiing. We groomed about 40 k today and have 60 k open for skiing. We are open Sat and Sunday closing for the season April 1.

Spring skiing

It was very good spring skiing today….nice skating in the AM, trails staying firm until about noon; then about an inch of  sinking over a firm base. Classic tracks stayed firm this afternoon but some were icy this early AM.  Make sure to check conditions at trailhead before skiing…conditions change fast and the trail conditions board in the cabin, or  the desk attendant can assist you with conditions at the time you are skiing. No bare spots…2 feet of snow base!
