Wednesday night

The temps are at 39 and we did not receive any new snow, We are just watching to see what happens Thursday afternoon and Thursday night. If we get the 4 inches forecast we have a chance of opening for Friday or Saturday.

Projected Forecast for the weekend

It looks like we will continue to be lacking snow for a few more days. Depending on the forecasts we are seeing an inch or so Thursday (which over out thin base and frozen ground is not enough to reopen).  We are then seeing up to 4 inches of lake effect for Friday, which would be enough for reopening and skiing. Stay in touch we will update daily as the weather unfolds.

The trails are ready since we have been packing and driving the frost down, Grooming equipment is out and serviced,  We put 3 plows on the trucks today, ski shop is ready and open every Saturday, wax room and facilities ready!

Closed Sunday

We had a good start to the season, but the snow melted this afternoon. We will be closed for skiing until the weather turns cold and more snow arrives.  The Ski Shop will be open again Saturday.

Saturday skiing

We had a good early morning grooming this morning. We have about 5 km groomed and 4 km track set. There are some thin areas and some grass and dirt and ice showing but the trail is skiable today. We expect the warming later this afternoon to melt the snow so get your ski in while you can.abr opening

Open Saturday for skiing on the River Trail

SKI Shop Sale and skiing!

ABR Trails received about 8 inches of snow today and last night. We started packing this morning and are just coming off the trails tonight at 9:30 with a temp of 18 F the trail base is forming. We are planning to only open the River Trail which is a 4k to 5 k loop. We will be back out in the early AM to do the final grooming. With the warm temps forecast I see this as a Saturday opening and closing Sunday….get in your first ski while you can.
