Just a dusting

We will not open for skiing today, we need more snow for grooming and safe skiing. The Grooming Clinic is on as scheduled for Wed Thursday with or without new snow.

Skiing for Monday?

We had many happy skiers today to ski on the 15 k I tilled up with the Pisten Bully and reset classic track on; yes there were a few rough areas where I had to lift the tiller for a thin area but it skied well. I will not regroom until we get more snow. The trail is not safe to ski without more snow. We will reopen when we get snow. It is snowing this afternoon. So are we open Monday? Only if it snows an 1-2 inches  overnight . I will post the result on the ABR web site in the AM and on the phone recorder.

The Grooming Clinic is this Wed and Thursday and is on as scheduled without or without new snow.

ABR Open

I have been out in the Pisten Bully powertilling some of the close flatter loops and it is turning out quite nice, we will have some good skiing  in the AM. The new snow is mixing  in nicely. I groomed about 10 K tonight and I will be out in the early AM to groom another 5-10 k with some hills.

ABR Trails Closed and SISU 42k and 21k Cancelled

Just coming in from the trails. Temp has been 41 overnight and it continues to rain. The trails have deteriated to a non skiable condition overnight. I just had a call from the downtown crew they have the streets snowed in with a nice layer of snow powertilled in with the Pisten Bully from Gogebic Community College and snow staged at road crossings. updates on www.sisuskifest.com at 6 AM

We will be doing some regrooming after the race for day skiers at noon,
