Trails are skiing well

We groomed all the classic only trails again this morning. It took three to four passes and we widened clipped brush and packed the pole plants. The classic only are looking primo!

Then the second grooming task was heading to the highlands, we touched up the downhills on Hautanens and Coyote, and they will be open in the AM. they are groomed flat with no track for a couple days. The track should be set by Friday or Saturday AM.

The classic only trails to the south were worked on and are coming along well. We need to touch up Wolk Tracks and Sunrise but Bear Bait is tracked.

Rudys Shoot is groomed and open. A bit soft in the center.

The main trails (40 k)   we are touch up grooming  for wind blown snow, they are groomed well and are firm and somooth.

The Highlands are looking good!

We have been spending much of our grooming time on smoothing out the Highlands (30 k to the south) The trails are coming along quite well and with Wednesdays grooming, and signing we expect some of them to be open Thursday. The rest of the trail system is skiing well with a bit of wind blown snow in the open areas.

Another inch or 2

We regroomed about 20 km this morning and took the Pisten Bully into the Highlands to smooth them out to freeze down. Although we have been packing the trails with light equipment and the base is established we still have a few hills on the Highlands that need to freeze. the next few nights should freeze them up well. and we hope to open this area in the next few days…. Meanwhile we are skiing and grooming the front 40 km on our best race or touring skis

Another dusting of snow

We regroomed and powertilled all the north trails today and all the single tracks. The tracks turned out super and got covered with a light dusting of snow during the day.

We have been packing the South Trails for the last 2 weeks. We will bring the PB south in the AM and check the conditions on the Highlands.

Broken Record….Super Conditions

I hate to sound like a broken record but had Super Conditions again today on all the trails.

“We Pisten Bully powertilled all the trails again this morning and last night and regroomed the classic only trails. The skiing was perfect today with solid pole plants and smooth firm skate lanes.”

Warmer temps today made for good glide but no melting or sticky snow. We are heading back out tonight and in theAM to completely regroom and retrack.

We will run the PB on the south end starting Monday. We have been packing the trails to the south for the last 2 weeks .
