First off …’Grooming and Skiing Conditions”

we groomed Tammarack and Ridge Runner first off with the Pisten Bully and then did touch up grooming as needed. The single tracks like jacks flats were groomed and a few other flat loops for skiers wanting flat trails. Ski conditions were reported to be excellent. Ridge Runner was reported to be the best of the season!

Second “grooming plans”

we plan to have 4 groomers out Saturday early morning grooming all the trails except Ridge Runner and Tammarack,

Thursday 9 am

Wide Track took care of most of the single tracks and Pig Heart and Crasher took care of the combination trails. The Pisten Bully did a great job powertilling and renovating the tskate deck and new classic track after yesterday’s thaw.

Wednesday 6 pm

Great day of skiing today with mild/warm temps and sunshine. It was surprising the parking lot did not fill up today. Pig Heart and Crasher groomed about 51 k this morning, refreshing the skate lanes and leaving the nice firm classic track on the side. There were a few sections on the classic that glazed up or iced over on southern facing sections….but not many. Skiers expect conditions to be slow and mushy on warm days and stay home. When the base is packed well and groomed daily, the conditions can be surprisingly good.

Full groom team out in the am, some but not all of the classic only trails will be groomed in the am, most of the combo trails will be groomed, one of the Pisten Bullies will be out powertilling and setting new tracks.

Tuesday 7;30 pm

we are back to warm comfortable skiing conditions. Crasher ran one of Pisten Bullies down River trail, memory and jack pine, white pine and into town for “project connect” the trail groomed up super.! wully bully and snow cross groomed the combo trails.

Pig heart and Crasher are on the roster for grooming in the early morning. I see the temps are going to get above freezing but I do not see the snow changing much….should be great skiing tomorrow and beyond.
