Snow is forecast for Sunday early morning . “Good News”

Crasher and Pig Heart ran both Pisten Bullies for a full shift this morning. All Trails except Pelty and Rudy’s have been groomed in the last 2 days. Skiing is awesome. Warmer temps, sun and great snow.

Forecast is calling for 2 inches of snow early Saturday morning changing to a wintry mix and then to rain in the afternoon. Our grooming plans are to let the snow absorb the rain and regroom Sunday AM. We believe this will provide the best skiing for Saturday and Sunday. We may groom some of the flatter trails Saturday AM depending on what happens tonight and early morning. Ski Shop sale started today 20-30% off many items, Season Passes on sale at discount rates $125 and $145 (jr/sr and adult). Newbie pass at $100 good for all of the rest of this season and all of next season. We do plan to close March 20th Sunday at 4 PM.

Partner and Pig Heart ran the Pisten Bully on the main trails. Wide Track groomed all the single tracks. Great skiing today with blue skies and temps in the 18-24 degrees range.

Crasher and Pig Heart will be back out grooming with both Pisten Bullies to the south and the north. Looks like a great Friday for skiing, Saturday may a bit tricky for skiing in the afternoon; I think with the Pisten Bully grooming the base is hard enough to not get soft if we get a wintry mix…Sunday looks like snow again and normal grooming and skiing.

The base is quite thick and I do not see it going away before March 20th…I would plan you skiing adventure up North before it’s gone. Ski Shop Sale starts Friday, Season pass sale is on.

We touched up skate lanes today with 2 of the bigger Ginzus, We picked up about an inch of snow this morning and then it snowed until noon another 1-2 inches. We plan to Pisten Bully old ABR (maybe the Highlands) Thursday AM and we will regroom all the single tracks. Friday we will head south and regroom Tamarack 2 track and Ridge Runner. Peltonen Passout and the new Dog trails have not be groomed in a few days so those wanting to experience the big hills with some powder give it a try. Ridge Runner has been groomed the last 2 days but will have 2 inches of powder on it Thursday.

Wully Bully and Pig Heart groomed most of the combi trails today using light equipment, a 9 foot and a 7 foot groomer…. the trail was firm but not too hard. Today’s grooming was smoothing and filling in crash sites. The classic track looked great on trails. Recreational skiers are loving the firmness level we have been maintaining this winter. Running both Pisten Bullies every day is not only very costly but can create a surface too firm for recreational skiers to enjoy. Pelty and Dog Trails did not get regroomed today….

Light groomers will be out again in the AM. The Pisten Bully may do some touch up if needed.
