A full service ski touring center located on over 1100 scenic acres of varied terrain along the Montreal River in Ironwood Michigan.
ABR’s famous Spring Race! A 20.5 K freestyle race that uses an equalizer format that gives all ages the same chance at winning the race. There’s also a 1K Gorilla chase. The event is well known for the great prizes including skis, poles and more!
Ski along the ABR Ski Trails and sample our local cuisine and specialties of our local restaurants.
Restaurants will have tables set up from the trailhead along a designated route on the River Trail. You can ski or snowshoe on the River Trail to the food booths. It is a 1-2 mile route. The restaurants will be set up from 11 AM – 2PM

There is no special cost for the event, just buy a trail pass and pay the food costs at each booth (typically $2-4).
Kids accompanied by an adult ski free, get free equipment rental and instruction. Noon to 2 pm Sundays in February.

We hope you can join us for Ironwood’s first annual Nordic ski marathon, half marathon and Taste N Tour. Each race begins on ABR’s impeccably groomed trails and ends in the heart of downtown Ironwood on snowed in streets. We think you’ll find there’s an event for everyone to enjoy whether you’re a serious competitor or just out for fun.
ABR is the start point of the event but we will have classic only trails open for day skiers all day and will have all trails open after 12:30 PM. Friday and Sunday will be normal ski days at ABR.
