We had a real good day of skiing. Skiers were reporting the best conditions all season today. It snowed about an inch during the day. Groomers were out this morning and will be back out in the AM.
Friday PM
Trails are looking super. Just coming in from grooming Peltonen Pass-out The trails are starting to get smooth and firm classic tracks looked good. We will be back out in the early AM regrooming. We have 55 km open and tracked. Skiers were happy today.
Friday 11 AM
The new 6 inches of snow groomed up perfectly! We groomed last night and then again this morning with a full crew. The trails are starting to level out now that we can groom instead of roll only. The trails look like a winter wonderland. 55 km open and groomed and tracked.
Thursday 6 PM
6 inches of heavy snow fell today. The skiing is back to winter like conditions! The groomers are headed out tonight and will back out in force in the early AM We plan to have 55-60 km groomed for Friday and in very good to excellent shape.
Wednesday PM
The snow has been off and on all day.
The good news it is snow and not rain.
The bad news it is 32 and has been hovering around that all day
The good news is this is super snow to beef up the exisiting base.
The bad news is we will not groom it until Thursday night to let it dry out and not to turn to hardpack.
The good news is it was good skiing today and should be Thursday, just not super firm and fast until we regroom the new snow.
