A full service ski touring center located on over 1100 scenic acres of varied terrain along the Montreal River in Ironwood Michigan.
The new 10-12 inches of snow groomed up (rolled out) quite well. We rolled 26.5 km for skating and 40 km for striding. I can not remember an opening day with the condiitons being so good. Even Sulos Loop was skiing well. The heavy dense snow over frozen ground made for a nice base. Skiers were happy with condiitons today. We hope to roll in some classic tracks in the next day or so.
We received 8-10 inches of snow so far today and the groomers have been out. The trails will be open Sunday at 9 AM.
We picked up 2-3 inches of heavy dry snow so far today and the groomers are headed out to pack about 20 km of trails. I will update around 7-8 PM to let you know how things are turning out. We hope to be open at 9 AM Sunday.
Looks like the snow is coming Sat/Sunday! The Ski Shop is open Sat 9-4 with the Fall Sale 20–50% off, We will start grooming as soon as the snow accumulates, with a good chance of skiing Sunday.
