The new groomed up like a magic carpet this morning..and skied like silk. The sunny 25 degree weather helped put smiles on all the skiers faces! We re-tracked 64 km of trails and groomed 35 km of skate lanes this morning after the new snow.
Then after coffee break (and Christmas cookies from Mom), 7 of us headed out with groomers and shovels on the SISU Trail into town and back. The trail is looking very good with a few thin areas under the pines; there are no longer any wet areas.

I am just coming in from grooming the SISU Trail that is on premise here at ABR. The new snow that fell today is really leveling out the trails. We will be back out in the AM setting new tracks and grooming the trail into town for the SISU

We had a beautiful day of skiing again today, but with the SUN! 28 degrees, no wind and sunshine on skis…it doesn’t get much better. The surface is on the harder side and does get snowplowed off with skiers in the afternoon, but we are well covered and we have been shoveling the thin areas on the downhills. We reset all the classic only trails this morning and groomed all the skating too.
We will be regrooming all the skating and resetting tracks along the skate lanes tonight and in the early AM hours
Just coming in from checking the trails and regrooming. The trails had some use today so we will be resetting classic only trails in the early AM. I regroomed 10 km of skating trails on the hills tonight so that they will set up firm and the rest of the trails will be regroomed in the AM. Snowshoe trails are getting use also.
We picked up another inch of snow today. The daily light snowfalls continue to keep the trails fresh and smooth. We have been grooming every day and in most cases we are resetting 20-40 km of classic tracks daily. Today we reset about 42 km of classic tracks and regroomed 35 km of skating. We are open New Years Day normal hours 9 AM to dark.
