Sunday 9 :20 AM
We regroomed the dusting of snow on all of the skating lanes. We left the cold powder in the classic tracks to be skied in. The new snow and more importantly cold overnight temps improved the trails drastically. We are open 9-4:30 today and closed Monday……Tuesday we will see.
Saturday 7 PM
We had a decent day of skiing…the temps did not get as cold as advertised(forecast) so the base was softer than predicted. Grooming was pretty tricky too! As the day went on the trail froze up and tonight it is snowing from the North west and as I was scouting the trails tonight they are frozen! Grooming in the AM should shape the trails up, we will be open Sunday 9-4:30 and then closed Mon, Tuesday because Monday the temps are warming up. We will post re-opening day for next week based on weather and trail conditions Tuesday. It looks like we should have good skiing for the Thanksgiving weekend holiday period.
Saturday 8 AM
We groomed up everything posted except a section of Jack Pine North of River House was flooded. The trails are covered but the base is thin. most importantly to note is that the temp stayed at 32 all night and the thin base is soft. The best skiing today will be with skin skis or waxless skis striding. Trails open at 10 today, the SKI SHOP SALE continues
