Great skiing today we set about 15 km of new classic track on the main trails, and groomed 45 km of skate lanes. The snow is holding up very well, soft on the surface but firm underneath. Everet’s cabin is open tonight thru the weekend Jan 6-9. Rock Fence Cabin is open tonight through the weekend Jan 6-9. Everet’s is also open Feb 1-4.
Tuesday 7 PM
Just coming in from grooming the trails. I was working on firming up pole plants on the combination trails.
We groomed all of the skating today and reset about 30 km of classic tracks. We groomed and opened Husky Hiway, Ampitheater Loop and Suno’s Revenge today. Great “Classic Only” trails. We will be out regrooming most skate lanes in the early AM and resetting some tracks on the combo trails. We are now skiing on 87 km with very good snow depth and very few thin spots.
Monday 7 PM
Just coming from checking the trails. The 1 inch of new snow will groom in well in the early AM. It is still snowing lightly. We have 4 groomers heading out in the early AM; we plan to regroom all skating trails, reset tracks on many of the combination trails and work on packing the new Pumala Trails. We will not re-track the classic only tomorrow but plan to re-track them soon.
7:30 Sunday
Great skiing today, mild temps and sun but cold dry powder. we had a full groomer crew on early AM, we had 4 groomers out grooming 81 km today. We reset many of the worn classic tracks and regroomed all the skate lanes. Deer trail, Jacks Flats and Darla’ Diversion are open and flat for skiers that want flat trails. That is 6 km of new flat trails open for this year. Trails will be touched up early tomorrow AM. Coverage is very good.
7:30 PM Saturday
Sorry a bit late with posting. We were out grooming single track trails tonight. They were well worn from Friday and Saturday Traffic. They should have been reset again this morning. Single tracks and skate lanes will be regroomed in the AM ..full groom team on in the AM.
Skiing is great mild temps and good coverage.
