Thursday

Groomed another 35 k of trail today.

We had a nice day of sking today. The Pisten Bully powertilled anothe 20 k of trail to the south and skiing was super. Chicken Plucker on the Sherpa retracked all the single track to the south about  another 15 km after retracking Hemlock..(.he said the Clydesdales trashed it.)

This time of year with the freeze /thaw and sunny March sky it is necessary to regroom daily for fun /safe skiing. Check in with the trailhead for what is regroomed and conditions.

Wed PM

We had a nice ski with the Clydesdales tonight. We chaned up the routes a bit to go on the wider trails. The tracks were nice and the Glide was perfect…not to mention good company and food and drink. We even got a short wax clinic from Dave during our social hour.

We groomed about 25 km this morning again and it skied well. The groomers out headed south in the AM to work on the south 1/2 of the trail system. It looks like a nice weekend coming up for skiing and the Taste of the Trails

Taste of the Trails this Saturday!

We are getting ready for the Taste of the Trails this Saturday from 11-2 . We have 7 confimred restaurants attending. Manny’s, Kimball Inn, Ole Suffolk Ale House, Brewsters, Elk and Hound, Don and G-G’s, Maplewood Steak House.

We groomed about 20 km this morning and reset tracks after the thaw yesterday. Skiing on the regroomed trails was awesome. The ungroomed was very icey.

We will be back out in teh AM regrooming the trails and it looks like a nice forecast for some nice skiing for the next week.

Sunday PM

We had a nice weekend of skiing with mild temps and good snow.  We had the BOLD (Blind Outdoor Leisurely Development) skiers from the Milwaukee area for the weekend. If you wondered why some of the trails were double tracked, we groomed for the BOLD guides and Visually Impaired to ski side by side.photo
